MOUNTAIN BIKE RACE

Location Calaveras County Fairgrounds, Angels Camp, CA

Registration: 8-a.m, Recreational Vehicle parking area. Registration closes 15 minutes before each flight’s scheduled starting time for that flight.

Course: A 6 mile hilly loop starting & finishing on the railroad grade next to the parking lot. Most of the loop is dirt trails and the old RR grade, several creek crossings. The course is not open to riding prior to race day; it is private property.

Directions: Take Hwy 49 south from downtown Angels Camp 2 miles to turn left on Gun Club Road and follow signs to parking

Prizes: All riders receive completion certificates if desired; All participants receive raffle ticket for cash (minimum $200) and merchandise prizes. Top two in each category get souvenir tee shirt..

How to Enter: The basic entry fee is $24, subject to late fees as below:

---via On-line at www.sportsbaseonline.com, from April 5, 2011 to April 24, 2011 for above fees plus on-line surcharge. From April 25-27 the fee on-line is $7 additional. No on-line entry after midnight PST Wednesday April 27. You’ll need to sign and date your entry form/release at race registration desk.

---By Mail: You may still enter by mail, but if a group is filling, go on-line. By mail, send standard USAC entry form/release along with fee above (if Postmarked by Friday April 22 to Velo Promo/Iron Angels, 19780 Soulsbyville Road, Soulsbyville, CA 95372. For those postmarked after, add $7. Note: indicate what category you are entering on check or form. Entries for several races in one envelope ok, but be sure to list race names on the outside. Envelopes without names of races on the outside may go to the wrong race. Mail in entries will not be processed until after the opening of online reg.

---At Race: You may enter at the race, provided your event is not filled, for the above listed fee plus $7.

2011 USACMTB license required (available at race). One day licenses are available only for Cat 3 . Entry fees include $1 NCNCA and $3 USAC insurance surcharges. Numbers will be provided.

Credits: Credit for another VP race will be given if VP is notified by 5 pm Wednesday 4/27 that you can't compete. No credit issued if you plan to enter another race instead; no cash refunds. No substitutions for cancellations. Send e-mail for credit to velopromo@sportsbaseonline.com

Lodging: There are many motels in Angels Camp and Jamestown/Sonora. Campgrounds including showers available at New Melones Lake. For local info , call Calaveras County Visitor’s Bureau at (209) 736-0049.
