Promoted by Velo Promo & Golden Chain Cyclists. Under USAC rules & permits 2012-86, 2012-90 Dates: Sundays, January 8,15,22,29 (training races/clinics) and Feb 12 (race) 2012Location: Fremont, CA, same since 1988. Registration: Opens at 7:45 a.m. at Dumbarton
& Campus, Ardenwood Industrial Park. Closes 15 minutes before each race's
start. Course: 2.2km flat clockwise loop of good
pavement. Three 90 degree right hand turns, one large sweeping turn. Race Loop:
Dumbarton, Campus, Kaiser, Dumbarton. If riding this course before the loop is
closed, please obey stop signs. Portapotties, botts dots, no drinking water. S/F
on Dumbarton west of Campus. (Saturday , January 7 - Mentor training @ the Early Bird course from 1pm to 3pm. All new mentors must attend this meeting. Mentoring skills will be taught and practiced. Optional group ride following mentor training.) Sunday,

– racers not yet on a team will have the chance to talk to teams and consider
what they have to offer (and want in return)

Notes: Jan 8, 15, 22, and 29 are training races only, with no placing recorded. We may split fields for safety reasons. You might get to practice racing in a neutralized field. One day licenses are available only for Cat 5, Master 5 or Women 4 . Entry fees include $1 NCNCA and $1 USAC insurance surcharges. Numbers will be provided.Credits: Credit for another VP race will be given if VP is notified at Tech@BikeReg.com by 5 pm PST the Wednesday before the event that you can't compete. No credit issued if you plan to enter another race instead; no cash refunds. No substitutions for cancellations. Send e-mail for credit to Tech@BikeReg.com Champion Discounts: Champions pay normal fees up front; Current NorCal/Nevada District Road Race Champions and National Road Champions will get a refund at the reg desk of all but $3 per day if 1) their entry is received by the deadline above (otherwise they pay full fee, including late fee) and 2) they ride in the category they won the championship in (Master Champions may ride down in age, and ride for $3, and Juniors may ride up. District jersey is not required The fee covers any and all participation during the day. USAC Insurance and NCNCA surcharges are included. Allow yourself at least ½ hour for registration and preparation. One new USAC form each week. 2012 USAC license required, available at the races (2012 annual ($60) or one-day ($5). Annual is available on-line at www.usacycling.org –there you can print a receipt/authorization to ride to bring with you to the race.
